This I Believe

NPR has begun a series called "This I Believe." It is "based on a 1950s radio program," where "Americans from all walks of life share the personal philosophies and core values that guide their daily lives."

Many people have contributed interesting pieces, though some are the trite tripe you would expect from such a project: e.g. "The Power of Love to Transform and Heal," and Bill Gates' "Unleashing the Power of Creativity." However, there are some interesting titles among them, such as "Getting Angry Can Be a Good Thing," and "Always Go to the Funeral."

The site even has a link for writers to submit their own essays to the series. "This I Believe" will provide some great reading, and it will leave you with something to think about. It may even inspire you.
