Andrew Bird

I haven't been obsessed by a record like this in a long time.

I joined emusic recently (it's kind of a joke) but I was able to download "Armchair Apocrypha" by Andrew Bird and I can't quit listening to it.

It has a Sufjan Stevens feel (with whistling in almost every song), it's orchestral, but it also has a solid base of roots rock song structure.

It's kind of blowing my mind. I love it.

For one of the more palatable songs, "Heretic," click here.

I likey! The chorus has a sweet U2 chord flair. I see you be watching The Shield season one...I didn't care for the first 3-4 shows, the camera kept movin' all over the joint. But, for some unexplained reason, after I got used to the camera work, I was completely hooked. I have season 2 and 3 on DVD if needed...

I'm glad you like it. Next time you're over, remind me and I'll burn you a copy.

Also, I've noticed that about the crazy camera, but I love how dark it is. Vic Mackey is a great character.

I absolutely will take you up on the offer of Seasons 2 and 3 on DVD.

Let me know when you need season 2 and 3.

I've been spinning the Ryan Adams Volume 2 you burned, so far...very nice. Very country...spooky cover of Wonderwall...and one helleva rocking number...1974?
