Sheepeater Cliff at Yellowstone

The girls are climbing a basalt rock formation in north Yellowstone National Park. It's called Sheepeater cliff (named for the Shoshone Indians of the area, who used bighorn sheep in their diets), and it was formed when basalt lava was cooled in columnar joints about 500,000 years ago. Nobody was hurt in taking this photo.

Wow! Claire has gotten really tall!

Glad you seem to be enjoying your summer.

Is this Anna Z?

If so, I'd love to hear from you about how/what you are doing these days. Get ahold of me at ejwoodard@gmail.com.

If this isn't Anna Z, which Anna are you?

Furthermore, Anna, you must have amazing eyesight to tell Claire's height from these pictures. Are you a superhero?

And yes, I am enjoying my summer A LOT. I feel sorry for the suckers who have to work year round.
