Raising Arizona, by Rob and Eric

My friend Rob and I have talked in the last year about setting up a microphone and doing our own commentary track while watching a movie. Well, we finally did it. Last week, we pushed play on "Raising Arizona" and riffed on film criticism, the Chicago Cubs, Trey Parker...you name it.

We listened to it afterwards wondering if it would be entertaining to listen to even if you A) weren't familiar with the movie or B) weren't watching the movie with us. I think it is. If you would like to take a listen, click here. Let me know what you think--constructive criticism is certainly welcome.

Hey guys, I enjoyed listnening, it reminds me of late nights at Perkins. Especially since I couldn't make it home this Holiday season and have been feeling a bit isolated.

You asked in your podcast whether or no the Coens have ever had a sweet moment, and I suggest that there were several in O'Brother, for example, the Wavery girls singing a the rally, and at the end when Evereet wins back his wife despite not being "bonafide"(I think the end of Fargo there'S a sweet moment as well...I think O'Brother is probably one of their more under-rated films, howeve not in top 5 by any means...

I'm glad you enjoyed it. That's a good point about the sweet points in "O Brother," and I'd like to see "Fargo" again, as I do remember the end with the husband and wife in bed, but I remember it being more bittersweet than sweet.

Rob wants to do another podcast--appropriately for you, he wants it to be on the movie "Lost in Translation." Any suggestions for the next one?
