We went to The White House Grill tonight, and we had some leftovers. After we left the restaurant, we went to Coeur d'Alene for the Santa cruise. When we got back to the van, it reeked of garlic. I love garlic, but the van really stunk. Claire has a gift for similes, so she weighed in with the following: "It smells like someone ate a seal in here." Now I'm not sure exactly what that means, but she was right. We laughed at that one.
Another simile she came up with a couple of months ago was when she tried a grapefruit. She made a face and said, "It tastes like a turtle's neck." She's a funny one. What makes her so funny is that most of the time she doesn't even know she is being funny.
