Addendum to the previous post

If you haven't read the previous post, read that first.

The Spokesman ran an article on Sunday that exemplifies the trend I referred to in the previous post. The premise of the article was simply this: everyone should have a holiday film made about their lives. Thus, the newspaper asked people what movie stars would play them in the film. The Spokesman's person of the day? YOU!

Here's the article's lead:

You might have noticed.

Most Christmas movies aren't about you.

But maybe at least one of them should be. You've experienced your share of drama, right?

Laughed? Check.

Cried? Check.

Hey, your story would be a natural.

Of course, if that film project ever got the green light, Hollywood probably would not let you – an "unknown" – portray yourself up on the big screen.

Face it. You simply aren't bankable.

Which brings us to the big question: If they made a holiday movie loosely based on your life, what actor or actress would you want to play you?

Photographer Holly "Jolly" Pickett and I asked around.

The article can be found here.

P. S. If you can think of any more examples of this trend, post a comment or email me. I'd be interested to see what else other people can find.
