The San Francisco Weekly just ran a GREAT article by Katy St. Clair about Huey Lewis and the News and their special relationship with their developmentally disabled fans. At first it seems like it is going to make fun of Huey or retarded people, or both. For instance, the third paragraph ends, "Was Huey Lewis the Pied Piper of the developmentally disabled, only with a harmonica instead of a fife?"

But it ends with a genuine pathos. This piece deserves to make it into an anthology like The Best American Nonrequired Reading series.
