Intelligent Falling

Scientists from the Evangelical Center For Faith-Based Reasoning are now asserting that the long-held "theory of gravity" is flawed, and they have responded to it with a new theory of Intelligent Falling.

Oh, how I love the Onion. I really can't get enough of this "Intellegent Design" thing. I love the fact that although they don't rightly AGREE with evolution, they still conceed to it and include it in their idiotic explaination of the ID "theory."

This is a joke. This is taking the "creation" stance too far. No where in the bible does it talk about "Intelligent Falling". True there are examples of antigravity events but these are not the norm. You can't say the bible claims gravity is flawed. In my opinion this is where my fellow christians are wrong.

You want to give equal time to creation, a huge flood, and age of the earth in science I am ok with that. I currently teach Olivia this at home and explain why the school is wrong. I am ok with that too.

I am not ok with my fellow christians going against science(without bibical reasoning) just to make a stink with the secular world.

My opinion is such. I believe that we, as educators need to deal with creationism, or "Intelligent Design" (I can't stand wordplay) for what it is. Theology. It's NOT science and it has no place in a science curriculum. I believe that we should address theology and world religions in our schools. Especially today as American children are being exposed to such negative images of Islam. Ignorance does not breed tolerance.
